Making the dream a reality

It was a busy weekend in the Baker household - Friday night the decision was made to convert our 'chill out room' into a sewing studio. It may have been over a glass of wine - I can't recall!

Saturday morning up early to get paint supplies and a 'not so quick' trip to Ikea. I'd been stalking other sewists' rooms on Instagram and Pintrest and I had a good idea of the look I wanted to create. Ikea is so fantastic for this kind of project. It's so easy to get carried away once you're surrounded by all of the beautifully styled room sets in the store; we very nearly didn't get everything in the car.

Fast forward a week and a few trips to the local haberdashery for extra supplies and I can't quite believe that I am about to upload some pics onto my blog. I think this is really going to be my happy place (and I hope it will be for a few of you too!)
