Payment Terms

If you are booking a group class, payment is due upon booking. This can be done via the PayPal button on the booking form or
by bank transfer to my account (details upon request)

If you are booking a 1:1 lesson, payment is due upon agreement of the date for your lesson. I will hold the space for 48 hours and then release the space for others to book if payment is not received.
Cancellation policy
I do not issue refunds on class bookings.

If you register for a class and later become unable to attend, I will gladly offer you class credit if you notify me at least 48 hours before the class. After the cut off date for your class, I am unable to offer credits or reschedule requests.

My classes require a great deal of pre-planning, including ordering supplies and tools. When students ask to cancel or reschedule, I lose money. As a small business, it is extremely difficult for me to absorb these costs and keep my class fees low.

In fairness to all of my customers I am unable to make exceptions to my policy, including for reasons of illness, travel, or family emergency. If you are unable to attend a class, I suggest giving your spot to a friend or family member!

If I cancel a class for any reason you will be offered the choice of a full refund or a place in the next suitable class or time slot.
Tools and Equipment
Use of my class sewing machines is included in all lessons. I also provide scissors, pins, and other sewing tools as needed for the duration of the lesson. The sewing machines I teach on are Janome model 5030. All machines are serviced regularly and kept clean. If a needle breaks during the normal course of sewing it will be replaced. If you require specialist needles for your project, I would expect you to bring with you or purchase from my haberdashery.

Unless specified in the class description, fabric, patterns, notions (buttons, zips etc) and thread are not included in the price. Please allow plenty of time to buy and wash your fabric in advance of the class. I am very happy to provide advice on fabric where needed.
Mini Haberdashery
It is not unusual to forget supplies for a project. I have a small section of haberdashery items for sale in the studio, including:
-
Gutermann sew all threads
-
sewing machine needles
-
dressmaker's tracing paper
-
bobbins to fit Janome machines
-
chalk
-
hand sewing needles
-
pins
